Oh, yes it's finally spring!! Our snow is gone and grass and tree buds are starting to bud and turn green. Slowly for sure and unfortunately the deer have discovered our tulips in the front flower beds so I'm sure we will see nary a one. (Tulips I mean) Snip, snip, snip and mowed them all down. Leaving the occasional daffodil still standing. I can't believe they are so discriminating. Should I offer them salt and pepper??
The exercise bug has finally hit me and I've managed two good walks since sunday. I hope the bug stays as feel like a bear coming out of hibernation and still with my fat layer. ha ha I start back to my swimming/aquafit class also and hopefully will limber myself up again. The old saying "If I'd known I was going to live this long; I would have taken better care of myself!" definitely holds true ha ha.
Planning a trip to the coast around the 25th of April to see my boys. Can't wait they are growing up too fast I fear. I also have a week booked for June when I can see them again and meet their other Gramma from New Zealand and a dear friend of mine from North Carolina. Debby and I have known each other for about 25 years and due to geography seldom get to visit. She will be in Nanaimo then also and we are looking forward to lunch and a visit. I am dying to show off my grandsons. Her kids are grown (when did that happen?) and I haven't seen them since they were 10 and 12 or so.
I have been remiss in blogging and find it hard to take the time for myself that way. I love to read my daughter's blog and keep up on what they are doing. The kids pics are great and I enjoy following up her crafting etc. The one thing I have gotten back to doing is my cross-stitching. I started a picture for a good friend of mine and should have long finished it. That is the incentive. Then I have a couple lined up for myself and my daughter. I have never been able to work on more than one at once so it takes time. Kind of like reading books. One at a time and yet I have friends tht have several on the go at a time. How do they do that??
