"Snow, snow, and more snow", here it comes at last. Hooked up our xmas lites today and xmas presents spread out on the spare room bed waiting for wrapping. It looks like that time of year again.

I had a mega list of things I wanted to do today but just cannot get motivated. I did grocery shop and picked up ingredients for a wonderful pot of beef and mushroom stew. It is simmering as I blog and the house smells wonderful. I should be hitting my books but just feel like napping.

For a quick moment, here I sit checking emails, my daughter and niece's blogs and adding a few lines to my own.

Here is a previous picture of our cats Dufus and Simon. They are lounging upstairs on the sofa in almost the exact same position. Man its a cat's life!! If there is any such thing as reincarnation I hope to return as a cat that belongs to someone like us. SPOILED ROTTEN! Hopefully, although Len is thoroughly ensconced at the opposite corner, they may have a little spot left in the middle for me.

It's gray and snowing like crazy, much like the coast were my daughter and her family live. I imagine my grandsons Aden and Kale are enjoying the snowy day. It doesn't happen often in Nanaimo where they live and not always on the weekend when they can enjoy it with both parents home.

Have to run and stir my stew will have to return and continue this blog tomorrow as time permits.

A quick post to cover halloween. Had fun this year and actually did a costume to wear to work. I spent a few days assembling & painting my costume. Isn't it special!! A little uncomfortable (couldn't sit down all day at all) but everyone loved it. Not to mention it also won me first prize!!

Many layers of gold paint and then hand drawing a copy of an "authentic" gold rush scratch ticket on both sides. Some more colored paint and voila!! Let's just say some people have tooooo much time on their hands.

I have to say it was fun though,it's been years since I did anything halloweeenie. When we lived on the island in Nanaimo, we used to go to halloween parties and had friends who used to put on big medieval dinners, costumes and all.

Maybe next year will try something of our own. Ta ta for now.
