Hm well just a few notes to end this very, very verrrrrry long day. Man I've had better. Spent my day off, which should have been spent puttering with xmas wrapping etc. , and I had to prepare for a kitchen gadget party. (No names to be mentioned LOL) I commited myself to having one of these fiascos and after all the fuss and preparations a select few friends arrived. ( oh and in the midst of all of this my refridgerator decided to take a sabbatical) Nothing like finding a place to keep the entire contents of a side by side fridge freezer when you are expecting a houseful of guests.
I have survived and promise myself that it is the last party of any kind that I shall hold (home sales that is). I am just too old for this shit, pardon my french. I would rather have another root canal or hemmorhoid surgery or something similar at least I'd be given valium ha ha!!
I hated to let my friend down as she is trying to help her daughter get established in this little home based business but, I just can't get enthusiastic about these things anymore. When we were young moms and housewives it was the thing to do, but I am just out of energy and interest for them now. Ah well its done and I've survived but no!!! more!!!!
Tomorrow my friendly maytag man will have something to do and hopefully will not recommend retiring my fridge. I am very fond of the beast and have more important things to spend my money on this xmas season. Namely a half dozen or so grand kids ha ha!
Well am just trying to get the hang of this journalling thing. So my daughter will not out do me too badly. I do believe I should nickname her the blog queen lol. Much love to her as I know she will read this probably tomorrow. And yes Krista I did phone Jeannie and will have to call her again tomorrow as she was working this evening. I spent time on the phone with the brother-in-law and thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. I'm so happy he seems to be lightening up in his life and taking a well deserved rest between career moves. I keep working on them to move up our way (why would anyone want to live in Surrey) but haven't quite got him convinced yet. Will keep trying.
